Sam is a passionate educator in both performance and production. He has taught piano to students ranging in age from 5 to 80, customizing his approach to meet the unique goals and aspirations of each individual. In addition to piano instruction, Sam has extensive experience teaching in studio and live performance settings. He has coached vocalists and instrumentalists in musical theater productions, including the Tony Award–winning Hairspray and the original Royal Caribbean production Flight: Dare to Dream, leading daily vocal warmups, rehearsals, and notes sessions for large casts and orchestras. He also mentors performers and musicians in interpreting arrangements and maintaining musical integrity.

Sam’s teaching extends to production and technical skills, including recording techniques, mixing, and music production in studio settings. He has served as a counselor and instructor at Orangehaus Music Business Camp, Indiana’s only music business camp, where he taught interactive sessions such as Billie Jean: Recreating a Hit and provided Q&A discussions on professional performance and production.
